What People Says About Us.

Having a community of nurses who not only understand the profession but also share my culture has made a remarkable difference in my journey. Through the Hmong Nurses Association’s leadership, mentorship, and shared expertise, I have felt deeply supported and empowered — both as a Hmong woman and as a registered nurse. They have guided me to honor both my culture and my profession by providing care that is culturally, spiritually, and ethically grounded. Thank you for being the North Star in my nursing career.

Today, I’m a nurse leader and educator—and I’m passionate about giving back and helping the next generation of Hmong nurses rise.

– Xiongmee Chang

The Hmong Nurses Association has given me a powerful platform to lead, connect, and serve. As one of the first Hmong nurses in my family, I often felt alone in my journey—but through HNA, I found a community that understands my culture, supports my growth, and shares my passion for uplifting others. Being part of HNA isn’t just about nursing—it’s about legacy.
